Miller Sellner Earns Farm Equipment’s
Prestigious 2009 “Best-in-Class Dealership of the
Year” Award

BROOKFIELD, WIS. (July 14) — Miller Sellner, with dealer locations in Sleepy Eye and Bingham Lake, Minn., has been chosen as the 2009 “Best-in-Class Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year” by Farm Equipment magazine.

More than 130 dealerships across North America were nominated for the award.

Farm Equipment presents its “Dealership of the Year” awards annually to farm equipment dealerships in two categories: one for those with $50 million and under in annual revenues and one for dealers generating more than $50 million in annual revenues.

Miller Sellner earned the distinction this year in the under $50 million category not only for its excellent financial results, but also its attention to customer care, employee development and its commitment to its local communities.

The dealership was chosen for the award by a panel of renowned farm equipment experts. In their selection of Miller Sellner, they specifically noted the dealership’s “strong revenue growth over the past three years as well as their excellent return on assets,” “their parts and service absorption rate was one of the highest of all nominees (99.2%),” and “their commitment to strong customer service and maintaining a large parts inventory in both stores.”

Founded in 1964, today Miller Sellner operates two full-service farm equipment dealerships and handles the full line of Case IH agricultural equipment. In addition, the dealership also carries a wide range of products from various specialty equipment manufacturers, including Demco, Grasshopper, Cub Cadet and Westfield.

“To be considered for this recognition is truly an honor for us,” says Doug Miller, President. “Our roots go back to 1964, when Glennis Miller and Norbert Sellner joined together to form Miller Sellner in Sleepy Eye as an International Harvester dealership. They built this business focusing on values that we still incorporate today: exceptional customer service, exceptional employees and community involvement.”

Farm Equipment’s Dealership of the Year judging panel included Dr. W. David Downey, director, Center for Agricultural Business, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind.; David L. Kahler, Retired CEO of the Ohio-Michigan Equipment Dealers Assn., Dublin, Ohio; and Charles Glass, president, Glass Management Group, Arlington, Texas, and former chairman of the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association’s Dealer Relations Committee.

Farm Equipment magazine profiled the winners of its Dealerships of the Year in the cover story of its July/August 2009 edition. The complete article can be seen at www.farm-equipment.com.
