Engine


Modern Maxxum® Series engines deliver superior torque rise and fuel efficiency, yielding more power for less fuel. The turbocharged, aftercooled, four- and six-cylinder Case IH engines deliver outstanding power and are Tier III emissions certified. And all Maxxum engines are biodiesel ready – they’re B100 approved.
A parent-bore block with contoured outer surface increases overall block strength and reduces noise and vibration. The driving force behind these tractors is reliable performance.


Maxuum 110, 115, 125 Engines


For the more economy-minded, Case IH offers three high-value Maxxum models – the 110, 115 and 125. These models share many features with their cousins.
The Maxxum 110, 115 and 125 feature mechanical engines with minimal electronics for simple responsive control and horsepower without the extras. These models use a mechanically governed rotary fuel-injection pump with two valves per cylinder.


Transmission


Maxxum® Series transmissions allow you to take on tough tasks with ease and efficiency. A dedicated Power Shuttle on the left-hand side of the steering column provides clutchless forward/reverse shifting and fast cycle times (16 x 16, 17 x 16 and 24 x 24 transmissions only) – a real time-saver during repetitive loader chores.


The 16 x 16 Semi-Powershift transmission is standard on all Maxxum Pro models and optional on the Maxxum 110, 115 and 125. It provides four Powershifts in each of four ranges. A combination gear/throttle lever on the right-hand console of cab models includes a Powershift switch and a range-change push button.


Providing simplicity of operation, rugged reliability, and economical operation is a hallmark of the Maxxum Series tractors.


A 12 x 12 Synchroshift™ transmission with mechanical shuttle is standard equipment on the Maxxum 110, 115 and 125 – powerful productivity for the economy-minded.


Available as an option on the Maxxum 110, 115 and 125 is a 24 x 24 transmission with two-speed Powershift. This flexible transmission provides the operator with three ranges, with four gears in each range.


Switch the Powershift to the low side for increased torque and an 18% speed decrease, using a switch on the throttle or a duplicate control on the “handrail.” Ten gears are available in the 2.5- to 7.5-mph (4.0- to 12.1-kph) speed range.


Hydraulics


Maxxum® Series tractors are designed with two separate hydraulic pumps.
One is devoted exclusively to steering and lubrication
Second pump is dedicated power for hitch and remote valves
Two-pump design means you get greater productivity from your Maxxum tractor, with a maximum hydraulic flow of up to 37 gpm (140 Lpm) at the hitch and remotes.
Plenty of 3-point hitch capacity allows you to handle heavy mounted implements.


Axles


To offer the widest range of options for your unique application, Maxxum® Series tractors provide you with a choice of front axles: 2WD heavy-duty adjustable axle and MFD axle
The 2WD heavy-duty axle offers a telescoping axle beam that adjusts from 62.2 - 86.2 in. (18.9 - 26.2 m). It offers a 55-degree turn angle, 11-degree axle oscillation, along with an eight-bolt hub with heavy-duty spindle.
For enhanced productivity in demanding operations, the outboard planetary front MFD axle offers a 55-degree turn angle, 12-degree axle oscillation and fully locking front differential.


Cab/Controls


Visibility, comfort and space set the Maxxum® Series tractor cab apart from the competition. The industry’s most impressive cab comes standard with: Air conditioning , 63 sq. ft. (5.85 sq. m) of glass, plus high-visibility glass panel in roof , Plenty of leg room and dual, wide-opening doors for easy entry
An easy-to-understand instrument panel displays critical information – with analog and digital gauges. Seat- and handrail-mounted controls are easy to use and grouped by function to make operation easy. Storage compartments, cup holders and power sources are available for personal items, beverages and phone.


The Maxxum 110, 115 and 125 Value cabs come standard with functionality features that let you be productive from day one.


Service


Simple service access is part of the Maxxum® Series tractor design, making it easy for you to complete maintenance tasks in record time. That means you spend less time working on a Maxxum, and it spends more time working for you.


Automatic engine shutdown protection is standard on all Maxxum Pro models, offering a level of security and reducing the potential for costly repairs.


There’s no need to raise the hood to check and fill engine oil. Ground-level access to fluid checkpoints and sight gauges makes daily service checks easy. A 600-hour oil change interval reduces downtime and operating costs.


The one-piece, flip-up hood raises on gas struts to expose engine components for fast inspection, while the slide-out air conditioning condenser allows for fast radiator clean-out.
